Saying sorry when you yell, overreact, or make a stupid mistake will help you build or maintain your relationships with other people. But it takes a lot to go to a friend and apologize, and it's even harder to admit your mistakes to your parents. You really shouldn't let your pride or a lack of courage stand in the way of saying sorry to people you might have offended. Apologizing is the right thing to do when you make a mistake. Just make sure you don't make the same mistake repeatedly, or misuse the word 'sorry' because like everything else, once it's over used or over said, it loses it's value and it becomes meaningless.

Let's face it, we'll continue to make mistakes for the rest of our lives, so we might as well get in the habit of apologizing, sincerely.
