No one single person on this earth is perfect. It is completely and totally wrong of us to expect someone to never mess up, to never make a mistake, to never step out of their realm and maybe turn down the wrong road. Life isn’t meant to be easy. The only way we ever truly learn anything is from our own mistakes. The important thing is to give everyone a second chance. Everyone deserves one get out of jail free card, because how could possibly learn without committing first? Another important thing is that not everyone recognizes their mistakes immediately. Sometimes it takes people days, weeks, or months to realize that they have done something wrong. That’s okay too. As long as a person doesn’t repeat their mistake, making one is not a crime. We just need to comprehend that no one is perfect and at some point or another everyone will let you down due to a simple mistake. A mistake should always be forgiven if learned from.
I will be the first to admit that I’m not perfect and I have made several mistakes. There have been times where I have acted in foolish, immature ways and times that I have done things I knew were wrong. However, I believe I was supposed to make those mistakes and bad decisions in order to learn from them. Don’t get me wrong, I do know right from wrong, but the only way to ever really value right from wrong is to learn the hard way; and learning the hard way means learning from your own personal action and burden. I’m thankful for that. I’m thankful that I’ve been able to learn initially through myself. Some people do learn through observation, and with some things that is the case for myself as well; but the best lessons learned are always through myself.
